The best way to keep rodents out!

As you are aware parts of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales are currently under attack by a mice plague. To quote the experts, "Mice breed from just six weeks old and females can have a litter of six to 10 pups every 20-odd days....One hundred mice can multiply to 600 mice after one round of breeding-after two rounds of breeding-they're starting to go through the roof", Mr Henry said.

Out of sheer desperation many weird and wonderful methods have been tried to deter and get rid of the menacing mice. Because once in your home the damage begins- often completely out of sight. They eat all manner of things, they breed and they smell!!

I draw a direct correlation with negative thoughts and their destructive effect on our lives. They like mice, seek and find vulnerable points of entry. They also wreak havoc-feeding off our troubled self-esteem, multiplying and destroying our wellbeing.

The resultant stench is overbearing! What to do? Search through the abundance of sel-help books that focus on this issue or go to the expert? I used a sheet of Persplex to create an impenetrable barricade at a recently discovered mouse entry point in one of my screen doors.

The Bible correlates well with this example. Why? Because it is the very first guide book written for good health and good living. God's love for us creates an impenetrable barrier to the negative thoughts life throws at us-IF we accept His Son as our Lord Jesus and practice His ways.

Ephesians 6 describes how: The Armour of God: "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests". (Ephesians 6:10-18). Spiritual Perspex is the only way to keep the rodents out!
